King's Cross station is a railway station in the Kings Cross district of north east central London. It is located in the London Borough of Camden and is the southern terminus of the East Coast Main Line. It is immediately adjacent to St Pancras station.
King's Cross is the London terminus for the east coast main line.
West of King's Cross are, in succession, St Pancras, the new British Library building, and Euston station, all within a few minutes' walk. The present King's Cross Thameslink station is 5 minutes' walk to the east.
The new London terminus of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link will be within a re-constructed St Pancras. Eurostar trains (to France, not those on loan to GNER) are due to arrive there in 2007 with the completion of Stage Two of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link project.
There are three entrances to the Underground station from King's Cross. These are on the main concourse by the departure board, opposite the Great Northern Hotel and outside the station on Euston Road. Our staff will be pleased to direct you to the nearest of these.
The Thameslink station is 300 metres from King's Cross, on Pentonville Road. Turn left outside the front exit, or follow the signs at the side exit. The Thameslink train service goes north to Luton (bus links to airport) and Bedford and south to Gatwick Airport and Brighton.
